"Google it" is a stupid thing to say

So people seem to say "just Google it". Well this is why. Anyone can write anything and put it on Google.

Google says the earth is flat. https://theflatearthsociety.org/home/

Google says smoking crystal meth is good. https://worldtruth.tv/crystal-meth-actually-good-for-you-admit-doctors/

Google says the world is run by shape shifting lizards. https://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2013/10/how-spot-reptilians-runing-us-government/354496/

As you see Google can be completely useless. I can write an article saying that I am god in the flesh. Say I am Jesus and you all need to worship me. I mean here https://davidplatte.wixsite.com/platteattackcpt/blog/platteattackcpt-is-written-by-god . look at this link, it says the person who writes this web page is god.

Does that mean it is true because it is on Google?

I completely agree—telling someone to "Google it" feels dismissive and unhelpful. Sharing a thoughtful answer or guidance is much better. For example, instead of just searching blindly, I recently looked into trends like dogecoin price, which gave me real insight without feeling frustrated or ignored.
